  6. Hi Tom! :)
I Pray all is well with you and yours, and hope you enjoyed your Christmas break. I am searching your website for the 2011 scholarship application for my daughter, Miss Joanie Johnson. She just recieved her acceptance letter from Spelman College, and we are so excited about this! She greatly wishes to attend Spelman College, because of the empowered, self disciplined, forward thinking young black American women who also attend the college. She loves the fact that everyone on the campus has a positive outlook on life, and these ladies fully know how to be feminine as well as self-reliant. We wish to apply for all scholarships, and since I listen to the great changes you inspire in our youth by your inspirational radio show, we wish to apply for your scholarship also. Please let us know what we should do next in order to apply for the scholarship.Thank you for all of the lives that you make a difference in, and for a great radio show.

    Respectfully,
    Ms. Judy Gamble
Proud Parent of a future Spelman Student :)

  7. I am sadden that I as a single parent tried but, some who fell short. I thought that I had the correct information and worked to get my daughter into college this year. We applied for FASFA and with the EIC of $0.00 we thought that she would get the money needed for school. She has applied for scholarship money with nothing coming in yet. She has applied and be excepted to Hampton University and we have no found out that I had to apply for a Direct Plus Loan for $20K per year!!! I did and got denied:( I was in tears there is no way I can send her to college at this point. I was praying that there may still be some hope that she might be able to apply for money. I listen to your morning program at work everyday and I hear of all the wonderful things that you do for people…..I was hoping you could pull magic out of you hat for my daugther who has worked hard and doesn’t deservse to have her dreams smashed because of my errors and credit. I was never able to locate your application online and now I fear we have missed the deadline is there anything I can do for my daugther.

    Hopeful,
    Ms Ella Barrow
